Feelings on Adoption

We LOVE adoption!
It is an amazing experience to be a part of. And the sacrifice that comes with birth parents choosing adoption for their children is not taken lightly in our home. We hold a lot of respect and love for birth families and the love and sacrifice that they give to these little ones.
Our children will always know who YOU are and they were adopted. Our children will always know where they came from and the great love that their first family has for them.
An open adoption is important to our family and we know it will be important for you. We want to make sure that you are able to see your child grow through pictures and letters. We also know that every person and situation is different and because of this we are open to discuss what will work the best for all of us involved.

We love the open relationship that we have with McCoy's Birth mother C*. We saw her at least once a month for about 6 months before we moved. We have seen her a couple of times since then with the most recent visit being in September 2012. And we continue to keep in contact through the blog that we keep for her and her parents. We also email and text each other alot. We talk to McCoy about her all the time and have pictures hung in our home of her and McCoy together.

We also have a wonderful open relationship with Oaklee's birth family. We get to see her birth parents and birth grandparents often since we live close enough to do so. They feel like family and they love both of our children so much.
