So as to maybe get some better cooperation for daily chores during the week, and because Monday through Thursday is pretty beaten down with school and Taekwondo and learning to be responsible, we enacted Friday Fun Day in our house. There are no required chores, Mommy tries not to say "No" or "not now" or "you need to _______ first" too much and we try to have a special fun activity planned to look forward to. It has been so much for our family and the kids have been eating up the idea and are excited for it all week. We have also decided to make Friday our Nacho or Pizza picnic and movie night to add to the fun.
Here are some of things we have done...
We had lunch in a cardboard tent. (this was of course an ongoing activity for a few days after). Mommy also ate lunch in it the tent with them.
We went to a farm/pumpkin patch and fed the goats, played on the playground and ate lunch.
I let them pick out little pumpkins at the farm to paint after we got home.
We kept this fun day a little low key because Mommy wasn't feeling good. But we ended up going to this really awesome pet store called Zany Zoo. The kids always love when we go there.
And we already have next Friday planned out...
