I plan on doing a picture update every so often so that birth parents can get to know us better by what we are doing currently.
In May the weather was nice but not hot. Almost every night the kids would want to run in the sprinklers with their clothes on. One evening Grandma Wilma was visiting and the kids would go run in the sprinklers then warm up in Grandma's coat.
Bryce has spent A LOT of time in May and June working on our yard and garden. He revamped the garden and we had some new soil dropped off on our driveway. McCoy had a blast playing in the big pile while daddy did all the hauling in the wheelbarrow. When I went to take McCoy's boots off they had so much dirt in them I could hardly get them off of his feet. We were both laughing so hard while I struggled to get his feet out.
One Sunday morning Daddy was still in bed and Oaklee wanted to go and snuggle him. I found them like this. So sweet.
We live in a wonderful neighborhood with wonderful neighbors. On nice afternoons this is how our dead end street looks like typically. Most days they are all riding bikes, but this day they were totally having a dance party because the older kids were listening to music. It was a blast!
McCoy had found some Halloween stickers at Grandma's house and he thought it would be fun to put them all over my face. I don't look very happy, but that is just because I didn't want to smile and make the stickers fall off.
Oaklee had fun playing with two bears when we were at Grandma's house. They keep an extra one there in case we forget her special bear when we come visit.
Oaklee has taken an interest in dressing herself lately. She will also find random articles of clothing and just put them on the best she can and she usually ends up like this. So cute!
Just our cute girl thinking she is so big sitting in the big camping chair.
Bryce with his Mother on Mother's Day.
The kids have been having fun playing in the backyard together. I found them like this one evening just haning out in the camping chairs drinking some water.
Finally warm enough to put swim suits on and play in the sprinklers/water/
Laundry baskets are a regular part of playing in our house. This day they sat and watched almost half of an entire movie and never got out.
This was McCoy's last day of his first year of Preschool with his awesome teacher Gina (and neighbor). He has one more year of Preschool but he is very excited to go to Kindergarten someday.
Since before McCoy was born I have wanted him to take Taekwondo. We finally signed him up when Preschool was over (I don't like to be over scheduled with activities outside of home). He is loving it and learning a lot from it.
Daddy bought us a new tent in preparation for the Father & Son Camp out our church does every year to commemorate the restoration of the Priesthood. After we got home from the store, Daddy set it up in the family room and McCoy loved it so much we said he could sleep in it that night. He was on cloud nine. He slept in it the whole night and was wound up with excitement the entire next day.
One morning we ended up having a breakfast picnic on the kitchen floor. We drank water out of fun cups and McCoy decided to come dressed and an Incredible.
Daddy and McCoy getting ready to leave to go camping. McCoy was so excited and asked all day long if Daddy was on his way home from work yet. He then would go to their pile of stuff to take and say. "Sleeping bag...CHECK...tent...CHECK...pillow...CHECK...flashlight...CHECK...(and so on)" It was so adorable!
This is Oaklee with my niece Brenna swinging at the camp out. My oldest brother and his family came to town from Utah to go to our annual family camp out for my Mom's side of the family. The kids loved their cousin time.
Oaklee went swimming for the first time at the family camp out with my nieces Brenna and MaKenna. She was hesitant at first but soon LOVED it!
Daddy and his kiddos on Father's Day. It ended up being kind of a crazy day because the kids were wild and so out of sorts and we were getting ready to leave the next morning for a week with out the kids.
Bryce with his Dad on Father's Day.
Brenley's Dad reading to the kids on Father's Day.
On our drive to Utah we stopped in Le Grande, Oregon where Bryce lived for five years as a child. I made him get out of the car and stand in front of the house he had lived in for a picture.
Bryce had a work related conference in Park City, Utah at a VERY nice and fancy lodge way up in the mountains (those are ski hills behind Bryce). Brenley went along with him to enjoy a much needed getaway together. It was so beautiful, this photo does not do any justice to the actual view. We also visited some our best friends, Bryce's sister and her husband and two of Brenley's brothers and their families. We were gone for six days and that was long enough. We ended up coming home a day earlier than planned.
