New school year!

Oaklee had her first day of Preschool.
She is going just across the street at our neighbors house.
It is the same place McCoy has gone the last two years.
I tried making her first day special, but it didn't go as planned.
She also surprised me by clinging to me when we got there.
She knows her teacher really well, has gone over to her house several times to play, knows all the kids because we play with all of them all time since they are all neighbors and she still just struggled with me dropping her off. She came out giddy and so excited so I know she loves it while she is there.

McCoy has officially started kindergarten.
We went and checked to see who his teacher was and if his friends were in his class.

And with a lot more preparation McCoy's first day went really great.
We have to be up early to get him to school, so we have already started strong with a great morning routine.
This boy thrives off of routine! He loves the responsibility of knowing what needs to be done and doing it himself. We also have fewer melt downs when he knows what to expect.

His awesome teacher!
He will also get to ride the bus HOME from school.
He only went one day last week as a get comfortable day and so his official first day is tomorrow.
He is very excited!

And this sweet girl was not happy about leaving without her brother when we left his school.
She does not like going places without him.
But thankfully we had already planned a donut date and that was enough to keep her happy until he got home.
