Family Life

Honestly, we LOVE to spend our time together as a family or with our extended family. We live close to both of our parents and all of Bryce's family, so we spend lots of time celebrating birthdays and getting together for the holidays.

One of our favorite things to do is spend summer holidays at our family lake house. The lake house has been (as my Sister-in-law once said) the background for many childhood memories for our children (the cousins). The kids are NEVER bored and find all sorts of ways to fill their time.

We also love to go to the coast and dig our toes in the sand, rain or shine it doesn't matter. We are lucky enough to live close enough that we can make a quick day trip to just get away together.

In the summer we go on a walk almost every evening. McCoy likes to ride his bike now. It is a great opportunity for us to talk and wind down from Bryce's busy day at work or Brenley's busy day chasing after our cute kids.
 We live close to Bryce's parents who own some acreage that the kids and all their cousins love to run around and get dirty on. One of McCoy's favorite things is to go and see the llamas that Grandma and Grandpa have. And Oaklee loves to just run around and swing.

We also love to visit Brenley's parents house (which is only an hour away) in a small town that has lots of parades all year long and a rodeo across the street from their neighborhood that we look forward to every summer.

Some of our favorite traditions are going to the pumpkin patch and picking out pumpkins. Also we love to go to a tree farm at the beginning of December and search for the perfect tree and then cut it down ourselves. We also go bowling every Christmas Eve with Bryce's family and always dress up and perform The Nativity later in the evening before we open up all the presents. Christmas morning is spent with Brenley's family where we always have omelette's for breakfast.
We always read books before bed and sometimes Daddy does "tickle tunnel", where he makes a tunnel with his body and when the kids go through it he tickles them. They love this!!
